Collection: Aniela Parys

Aniela Parys is an independent project that embodies sustainable clothing manufacturing, photography, & artist collaborations.

About

Aniela Parys was born in Portland Oregon with the motivation to offer an alternative to the exploitative nature of the fast fashion industry.

Since then, our journey to raise awareness of ethical consumption, challenge the status quo, and create unique garments has taken us across the Atlantic. Now, from our studio in the heart of Barcelona, we produce capsule collections of handmade, and small batch sustainable clothing, swimwear & lingerie.

Production & Sustainability

Before putting needle to fabric, our team breaks down each step of the production process to ensure it aligns with our values. We use deadstock, organic materials, and plant-based dying techniques to produce our limited edition pieces.

Our dedication to the slow fashion movement means we only collaborate with artisans that share our values.

 Fabrics

Deadstock Fabrics

The fast fashion industry produces millions of tons of unused textiles (deadstock) every year. These materials wind up in landfills, are burned or abandoned in warehouses. Our team rescues deadstock from factories right here in Barcelona, Spain. We use this along with sustainable, low-carbon-footprint textiles to produce our ethical clothing.

Econyl

ECONYL® – this is a 100% regenerated nylon fiber made from plastic waste like plastic bottles and fishing nets. By using ECONYL® to produce our swimwear, we save plastic products from the landfill and from polluting our oceans.

Organic Cotton

We use 100% GOTS certified organic cotton fabric, cultivated without the use of pesticides or synthetic fertilizers. Organic cotton requires less chemical irrigation and relies mainly on rainwater. Therefore, we source only Global Organic Textile Standard certified cotton to create our lingerie and loungewear.

Linen

Linen is a sustainable clothing material made from the flax plant. Flax grows without the use of herbicides or pesticides, and compared to cotton or polyester, needs far less water and energy to produce.

Tencel and Lyocell

TENCEL™ branded lyocell is a fiber made from sustainably sourced wood. Unlike other cellulosic fabrics, TENCEL™ lyocell is manufactured using recyclable, eco-friendly solvents. This material is 50% more absorbent than cotton, highly breathable and feels as soft as silk.
